Automatic Backup

Backup Policy

Effective Date: September 23, 2026

At IICS BD, we understand the importance of protecting customer data. We may provide automated backup services for eligible hosting plans to help customers recover their website files, databases, emails, and other account data in the event of accidental deletion, corruption, or certain service failures.

Backups are provided as a precautionary recovery measure and should not be considered a substitute for maintaining independent customer backups.

1. Backup Service Overview

Eligible Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting plans may include automated backup services.

Depending on the hosting platform and service configuration, backups may include:

  • Website files.
  • Databases.
  • Email data.
  • DNS and account configuration.
  • Cron jobs and related hosting configuration.
  • Other account-level data supported by the backup system.

Backup availability, frequency, and features may vary depending on the specific hosting plan and infrastructure.

2. Backup Schedule & Retention

Where automated backups are included, IICS BD may maintain backups according to the following general schedule:

  • Daily Backups: Retained for up to 7 days.
  • Weekly Backups: Retained for up to 4 weeks.
  • Monthly Backups: Retained for up to 2 months.

Backup schedules and retention periods may vary due to maintenance, storage availability, technical requirements, infrastructure changes, or the specific service purchased.

The retention period represents the intended backup schedule and does not constitute a guarantee that every backup point will always be available.

3. Off-Site Backup Storage

Where supported by the applicable service, backups may be transferred to separate backup infrastructure or off-site storage.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect backup data against unauthorized access, accidental loss, and infrastructure failures.

However, geographical separation or redundant storage does not guarantee protection against every possible failure, security incident, disaster, or data-corruption event.

4. Backup Restoration

Where self-service restoration is supported, customers may be able to restore their data through the applicable hosting control panel or backup management system, such as JetBackup, cPanel Backup tools, or another designated backup platform.

Depending on the available features, customers may be able to restore:

  • Individual files.
  • Directories.
  • Databases.
  • Email accounts or messages.
  • Cron jobs.
  • Account configuration.
  • An entire hosting account.

Restoration availability depends on the existence and integrity of the relevant backup point.

5. Restoration Requests

If self-service restoration is unavailable or unsuccessful, customers may contact IICS BD support for assistance.

Where technically possible, our support team may assist with restoration from an available backup.

Additional charges may apply for certain manual restoration, migration, or recovery services where such charges are applicable and communicated to the customer.

6. Customer Responsibility

Customers remain responsible for maintaining independent backups of important data.

We strongly recommend maintaining copies of critical:

  • Website files.
  • Databases.
  • Emails.
  • Business documents.
  • Configuration files.
  • Other important customer data.

Customers should not rely exclusively on IICS BD's automated backup system for business-critical information.

7. Backup Limitations

Although IICS BD takes reasonable measures to maintain reliable backup systems, backups may occasionally fail or become unavailable due to circumstances such as:

  • Hardware or storage failure.
  • Software or backup-system errors.
  • File or database corruption.
  • Network interruptions.
  • Security incidents.
  • Human error.
  • Maintenance or infrastructure changes.
  • Natural disasters.
  • Third-party infrastructure failures.
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

For this reason, we do not guarantee that every file, database, email, or account will always be recoverable from backup.

8. Data Deletion & Service Termination

When a hosting service is cancelled, suspended, or terminated, associated backups may eventually be removed according to our backup retention and data-retention procedures.

Customers should download or independently back up their required data before cancelling or terminating a service.

Once backup data has been permanently deleted, IICS BD may not be able to recover it.

9. Disclaimer

Backup services are provided as a recovery aid and do not constitute a guarantee against data loss.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IICS BD shall not be responsible for loss, corruption, incomplete restoration, or unavailability of customer data resulting from reliance on automated backups.

Nothing in this policy limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Policy Changes

IICS BD reserves the right to modify this Backup Policy when necessary due to changes in technology, infrastructure, service offerings, security requirements, or applicable laws.

Any updated version will be published on our website with a revised effective date.
